Coins for College Drive Raises $7,154.82
Students, staff, and families across Spring Grove’s K-8 schools came together in March for the 2026 Spring Grove Area Scholarship Fund Coins for College Drive, raising a total of $7,154.82. The total includes a $500 matching contribution from Subway of Spring Grove.
Throughout the 2-week drive, classrooms collected coins while building excitement through friendly competition and school-wide incentives. The effort not only raised funds for future scholarships but also gave younger students a chance to be part of something that directly supports our senior students' educational journey.
New Salem Elementary earned top honors this year with the highest per-student contribution of $6.28. As a result, the school will receive the traveling trophy and will have a $1,000 scholarship awarded in its name at the 2027 Spring Grove Area Scholarship Fund banquet.
